Job Summary

Veterans Alliance is hiring Aircraft Painters to support full-body and large-component paint operations in Wichita, Kansas. These roles support aircraft refinishing, surface prep, and topcoat application in a production environment. Candidates may come from both aircraft and automotive painting backgrounds—as long as they have significant full-surface paint experience beyond small-parts work.

Available Positions & Experience LevelsGrade 7 – Aircraft Painter ($31/hr)

• 5+ years of painting experience
• Experience may include aircraft and automotive, but not automotive-only
• Must have large-component or full-body paint experience
• Small-parts-only experience is not accepted
• Shift flexibility required

Grade 8 – Aircraft Painter ($33/hr)

• 8+ years of painting experience
• Experience may include aircraft and automotive, but not automotive-only
• Must have large-component or full-body aircraft paint experience
• Small-parts-only experience is not accepted
• Shift flexibility required

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft and large components using sanding, cleaning, masking, and surface prep techniques
• Mix and apply primers, base coats, and topcoats according to specifications
• Perform touch-ups, blending, and refinishing as required
• Inspect surfaces to ensure proper coverage, color match, and finish quality
• Operate paint spray equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications

• Required experience according to level (see above)
• Ability to work on large aircraft surfaces and components
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work orders
• Must pass background and drug screening
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• No personal tools required

Compensation Breakdown

• Grade 7: $31/hr
• Grade 8: $33/hr

Per Diem: Up to $880/week (if eligible)
Assignment Type: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire
Platforms: Any (Aircraft preferred)
Shift: Must be flexible
