Located in Portland, the MMC ED is also home to Maine's onlypediatric emergency department. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the needs of a high-volume patient population from Maine and New Hampshire, as well as visitors from all over the world. Patients seen in the ED may be experiencing Chest pain, Falls greater than 10 feet resulting in injury, Heart attack, Seizures, Suicidal thoughts or actions, mental health crisis, Physical attack or rape and Poisoning among other conditions.
Summary The Emergency Department Technician – MMCP role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the physician/advanced practice practitioner, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures.
