Overview

We are seeking a highly-motivated student to join our Environmental Services Group for Summer 2026 in our Mt. Arlington office.

Colliers Engineering & Design, an affiliate of Colliers, is a trusted provider of multi-discipline engineering, design and consulting services to public and private sector clients. Responsibilities

• Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects.
• Read and review project drawings and plans.
• Confer with engineers about preparing plans.
• Use AutoCAD software under the charge of Engineers.
• Evaluate pre-construction field conditions.
• Observe project sites and evaluate contractors' work to detect problems with a design.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
• Prepare analyses from collected data.
• Set up and help maintain project files and records.
• In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related program.
• Must have reliable transportation to the office.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess solid problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
