We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Toledo, OH, supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center. This role offers a mix of inpatient post-operative floor care, ICU coverage, and scheduled office hours within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team.

Coverage:10 shifts per month
Weekend Requirements:2 weekends per month

Call Schedule:10 days of call per month
Call Ratio:1:3
Average Daily Census:Approximately 12 patients

Responsibilities
Provide inpatient post-operative management for cardiothoracic surgery patients
Manage ICU patients in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons and critical care teams
Conduct daily rounds, assessments, and care planning
Respond to on-call needs related to cardiothoracic surgical patients
Document patient care accurately and timely in EPIC
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiothoracic or surgical experience preferred
Active Ohio medical license
NCCPA certification (for Physician Assistants)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
